Welcome...... to West Lindsey's 2010 Churches Festival - a celebration of a rich architecture and heritage, of beautiful tranquility and spirituality, and a welcoming oasis of peace that all our churches offer.

This year 82 churches are taking part over the two weekends. Numerous exciting activities are taking place for you to enjoy - from organ trails to flower and art displays, from bell-ringing to big brunch breakfasts. One church, at Fillingham, is even proposing Marriage buns for you to savour!! Or if a bit of rock and roll is your thing then why not pop along to the 50s' and 60s' concert at Middle Rasen.

Alternatively, if all you want is a bit of time to yourself, to relax in the quiet of a beautiful spiritual building, then make sure you choose one of the self-nominated "quiet" churches.

And many churches will have refreshments available to help nourish you on your visits, varying from tea, coffee and biscuits to a traditional full cooked English Breakfast.

For the second year running we are immensely grateful to West Lindsey District Council for their continuous, generous support.  We also welcome our new sponsors to the successful running of the festival.  These are Systematic Print Management Ltd, The White Heather and Little Doves Bespoke Christening Wear.

But above all we thank you for your support in making this one of the biggest and best Churches Festivals in the country. Not only are you supporting our church heritage, you are also supporting many of our small villages. And this support will help ensure that the lovely community spirit that binds these rural Lincolnshire villages together stays forever.

Lets hope 2010 really is a festival to remember.
